Grand jury returns indictments
The Clay Grand Jury returned seven indictments this week.
-Danny Shawn Lovins, 44, of Manchester, was indicted for robbery 1st; assault 2nd; and persistent felony offender. On July 5, Lovins allegedly committed robbery and assault 2nd when he used physical force while armed with a weapon at the Horse Creek Dollar General Store and injured Elizabeth Rosenthal.
-Andrew Forrest, 50, was indicted for theft by deception over $1,000. He allegedly misrepresented himself and his intentions when he was paid $5,000 to move a mobile home and never moved the mobile home for LeRoy Smallwood.
-Daryl Grubb, 43, is indicted for burglary 1st to criminal mischief 1st for allegedly entering the home of Melinda Smith on May 31.
-Jonathan Hoskins, 36, was indicted for nonsupport and flagrant nonsupport for owing $75,077.40 in back child support.
-Steven Hopkins, 34, was indicted for nonsupport and flagrant nonsupport for owing $11,604.68.
-Harvey Jackson, 33, faces an indictment charge of receiving stolen property over $1,000. He allegedly took possession of a 2001 Tahoe belonging to McKenzie Woods.
-Bobby Hubbard, 21, faces two charges of receiving stolen property over $1,000 and criminal attempt to commit theft by unlawful taking. He allegedly had a stolen GoKart in his possession valued at over $800. He also stole a Chevy S-10 valued at $2,000. Both belonged to Ernie Hobbs.
