Community Calendar Update

Friday, October 20th-

-Spook Fest-Take photos with Big Foot and The Grinch at the Governor’s Campground at Beech Creek from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. They will also be pumpkin painting from 5-7 p.m.

-Elk Mountain Fall Festival beginning at 6 p.m. with live music. Located at the Clay-Leslie Industrial Park.

-The CCHS Tiger Troupe will present “It’s the Great Pumpkin Experience” at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Governor’s Campground at Beech Creek.

Saturday, October 21st-

-SpookFest Trick or Treat from 5-7 p.m. at Governor’s Campground sponsored by the City of Manchester. Haunted Hayride by the JROTC begins 8-10 p.m. This is open to the public!

-FALL CLEAN-UP FREE DUMP DAY- Residents can take their trash to B&J Transfer Station from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

-Elk Mountain Fall Festival beginning at 10 a.m. with various events. Located at the Clay-Leslie Industrial Park.

-Cornhole Tournament at Burning Springs Elementary at 4 p.m. $10 per person.

-Burning Springs Cheer Car & Motorcycle Show 4 p.m. Sponsored by BS Cheer Team.

Tuesday, October 24th-

Daniel Boone Community Action Agency, Inc. will be having a Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, October 24th at 5:30 p.m. in Clay County @ central office located at 1535 Shamrock Rd., Manchester, Ky. 40962. The public is invited to attend.

Upcoming Events

Thursday, October 26th--CCHS Cross-Country will host a Jack-O-Lantern Job beginning at 5:30 p.m. behind Manchester Elementary. Runners can dress in costumes! $2 per adult and kids free!

Friday, October 27th-Paces Creek Elementary Halloween Dance 6-8 p.m. It will feature concession, dancing, face painting, hair coloring spray, spooky hallway and DJ Nationwide! Door fee is $5 with all proceeds going to Paces Creek Varsity Cheerleaders.

Sunday, October 29th -Clay County Cruisers Halloween car show Sunday Oct 29th 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. costume contest and truck treat.

Tuesday, October 31st- Trick or Treat hours are 5-7 p.m.

Tuesday, October 31st- Trick or Treat on the Street in front of public library from 5-7 p.m. sponsored by Save the Children and CCPL.

Friday, November 10th- The VFW Auxillary will hold the annual Veteran’s Day Dinner at noon at the VFW. All veteran’s and their families are invited to attend.

Saturday, December 9th-Downtown Christmas Parade. More details to come.

Meetings:

-Clay Board of Education meets regularly on the first and last Monday of each month at 6 p.m.

-Clay Fiscal Court meets the second Thursday at 3 p.m.

-Manchester City Council meets the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m.
