Dinzle Smallwood

Mr. Dinzle Smallwood, 84 of Nicholasville, sadly left us on Monday, October 16, 2023 at his home following a long illness. He was born in Manchester, KY on October 2, 1939 the son of Arthur and Myrtle Smallwood. He had been a farmer and enjoyed sitting on his porch, going for rides in the country, and UK Basketball. His suffering has come to an end and he has been reunited with the love of his life, Jessie.

He is survived by his children: Evelyn Martin, Betty Bagwell, Jennifer Otey, David Smallwood, Dinzel Smallwood, Jr., Randall Smallwood, and David Smallwood, Jr.; three brothers: Taylor Smallwood, Dennis Smallwood, and Denver Smallwood; and a sister, Jewell Smith. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of over 60 years, Jessie Collins Smallwood; five children: Jimmy Smallwood, Nancy Couch, Rosie Smallwood, Roland Smallwood, and Wanda Faye Smallwood; a grandchild; and a great grandchild.

Funeral services for Mr. Smallwood will be conducted Saturday, October 21 at 1:00 PM at the Dowell & Martin Funeral Home Chapel by Bro. Robert Miller. Burial will follow in the Couch Family Cemetery on Wolf Creek Rd. Friends may call at Dowell & Martin Funeral Home after 11:00 AM Saturday.
