Back to School Bash Today!
July 31, 2025
Clay County students will head back to the classroom on August 7, but before the first bell rings, families are invited to celebrate at this year’s Back to School Bash — an event aimed at equipping students and energizing the community for the upcoming school year.
Hosted by the Clay County Family Resource Youth Services Center, in partnership with AdventHealth, Walmart and First National Bank, the bash is set for Thursday, July 31, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Clay County High School.
The event will feature a school supplies giveaway for Clay County students, available while supplies last. Students of all ages are encouraged to attend with their families and get ready for the new academic year in a fun, community-centered environment.
Superintendent William Sexton emphasized the importance of events like this in preparing students for success.
“We want every student in Clay County to walk into school on the first day feeling confident and supported,” Sexton said. “The Back to School Bash is one way we can ease the burden on families and let our students know we’re behind them 100 percent.”
In addition to the supply giveaway, families can expect information booths, support resources, and the chance to meet local leaders and educators.
Sexton praised the collaboration between local organizations, saying, “It’s wonderful to see our community come together to make sure our students are equipped and excited for the year ahead. We’re grateful to our partners for helping make this possible.”
A healthy Clay County requires great community news.
