Martha Ann “Alice” Wilson

Martha Ann “Alice” Wilson, 86, of Manchester, KY, passed away Wednesday, June 25th, at the Landmark of Laurel Creek Nursing Home.

Alice was born in Bristol, Virginia, on March 16th, 1939, a daughter of the late Robert and Martha Hardsock Newman.

Alice loved spending time with her family, shopping, and baking. She loved everyone and everyone loved her. She loved her grandbabies and her great grandbabies. She enjoyed listening to her Christian music every night till she fell asleep.

Alice is survived by her children: Billy Fisher (Rita) of Oneida, Hobert Fisher (Bernice) of Goshen, OH, Della Smith of Manchester, and Elizabeth Fisher of Ripley, OH.

She is also survived by her grandchildren: Lori, Eric, Melissa, Stephen, Michael, Billy, and Dewayne; by the following great-grandchildren: Matthew, Cassie, Adam, Felicity, Summer, Allie, Finn, Madsion, Alexis, Ethan, and Paisley; and by the following brothers: Pete Newman of Bristol, TN, Jackie Neman of Bristol, VA, and Terry Newman of Bristol, VA.

In addition to her parents, Alice is preceded in death by her siblings: Sammie Newman, Robert Newman, Cora Pickle, Willie Gaws, and Berthie Pope.

Services for Alice will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, June 29th, at Britton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Brack Wilson Cemetery in Oneida.

Visitation for Alice will be held at 12:00 PM on Sunday, June 29th, at Britton Funeral Home.
