5 A’s of Tourism continued - Accommodations

Hello friends! I hope everyone is doing well. The past couple of weeks have been challenging for me, as this is a busy time of year, and we've also faced some family health issues. But that's nothing new; I’m accustomed to a unique lifestyle that I imagine many would find difficult. Anyway, enough about that. This week, we will discuss accommodations. This term refers to the various types of lodging options available for tourists, including hotels, resorts, guesthouses, and other forms of temporary housing. In the tourism industry, this is often called short-term rental. I’ve mentioned this before, and I’ll say it again: the primary limitation for Manchester at the moment is accommodations. I've been in contact with a well-known hotel chain that is interested in establishing a location here. I hope this will draw attention, as I have informed several individuals who are more influential than I am about this opportunity. The addition of just one new hotel could significantly change our landscape. We have so much happening in our community, yet not enough places for visitors to stay. In closing, I want to reiterate my thoughts on this matter. With one feasibility study and some major incentives, we could potentially see a hotel in our town. Let’s all hope this becomes a reality. Much love, Manchester!
A healthy Clay County requires great community news.
