Red Bird Mission Farm Market in Beverly accepted to the 2025 Kentucky Farm Bureau Certified Farm Market Program

June 05, 2025

Red Bird Mission Farm Market, located in Clay County, has been accepted into the 2025 Kentucky Farm Bureau (KFB) Certified Farm Market Program, which is celebrating its 30th year.

“For three decades, Kentucky Farm Bureau’s Certified Farm Market program has been a huge benefit to both communities and hardworking farm families across the commonwealth,” said KFB President Eddie Melton. “It gives markets valuable resources, credibility and a support network, and it’s also a seal of approval that lets consumers know the food they’re buying was grown and raised by their trusted neighbors.”

Located at 70 Queendale Center in Beverly, Red Bird Mission Farm Market is located within the RBM Community Store and Cafe and is open year-round. It offers a wide variety of products, including toys, jewelry, corn shucks flowers, coal figurines, weaving, quilts, turned native hardwood, pottery, kitchen items, stools, rocking chairs, dulcimers, Christmas items and more. The market sells fresh produce and value-added products made from home-grown produce supplied by farmers in the Red Bird Mission Grown Appalachia program. Kentucky Proud items are also available, including goat milk soap and lotion, apple and pear butter, brown eggs, salsa, bread-and-butter pickles, various jams and baked goods. The outdoor market is open Saturdays starting July 4 through mid-October. There are three pop-up Tuesday markets in the summer corresponding with commodity distribution days. The KFB Certified Farm Market logo identifies markets certified through this program, and they are listed in the online directory. The program also provides collective advertising, promotional items, educational tour opportunities, and other marketing benefits, with the aim of increasing the net farm income of member markets.

Consumers can find the KFB Certified Farm Market Rack Card at Kentucky welcome centers, state resort parks, local chambers of commerce/tourism centers, and county Farm Bureau offices.
