Homer Hampton

Homer Hampton, 99, of London, Kentucky went home to be with the Lord on May 15th, 2025. He was born April 13th, 1926 in Manchester, Kentucky, and united in marriage in 2012 to Alice Ruth Hampton who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, Wayne Hampton of London, Kentucky, and his daughter, Reba Scott (Roddy) of Nicholasville, Kentucky.
He was blessed with four grandchildren; Joey Hampton (Amy) of Corbin, Kentucky, Jennifer Hampton (Joe Zach) of London, Kentucky, Jason Scott of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and Kelan Scott of Key Largo, Florida; and four great-grandchildren; Jonathan Hampton of Neenah, Wisconsin, Preston Hampton and Harper Hampton of Corbin, Kentucky, and Haley Smith of Rochester, New York.
Homer was preceded in death by his first wife Alpha Peters Hampton, an infant son, Dale Hampton, his parents, Joe and Emmer Hampton and by 7 brothers and sisters.
He worked as a barber in London for many years. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church where he became a Christian in 2001. He also attended Pine Hill Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, May 17th, 2025 at 12:00 NOON in London Funeral Home Chapel with Dwayne Arthur officiating. Burial will follow at Peters Cemetery with DAV Chapter 158 Keavy in charge of military honors. The family of Homer Hampton will receive friends at London Funeral Home from 10:30 AM till the funeral hour on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the DAV Chapter 158 Keavy.
