Carl Napier

Carl Napier, beloved patriarch of our family, passed away peacefully at home on May 16, 2025. He was born July 13, 1941 in Leslie County KY. Preceded in death by parents Fred & Emma Napier and beloved son Carl Wayne Napier.

Carl was a dedicated and hard worker achieving anything he aspired to do. His achievements included certifications as Mining Forman & Mining Inspector and Commissioned Kentucky Colonel. In 1982 he relocated from Leslie County to Clay County and established Napier's Auto Sales with son Freddie. Carl was an avid hunter, loving anything outdoors, but his greatest pleasure was spending time with his family.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving devoted wife of 65 years Gladys (Bowling) Napier; one son Freddie (Debbie) Napier of Big Creek, KY; four grand children: Latrese (Josh) Curry of London, KY; Brooke, Freddie Wayne And Austin Napier of Big Creek, KY; three great grand children: Lexi Frederick, Haydyn and Raelee Curry London, KY, one sister Juanita Sizemore of Hyden, KY, two sisters-in-law Juanita Curry of Harlan, KY, and Ora Begley of Corbin, KY. Additionally, Carl loved and was loved by many nieces and nephews, great nieces & nephews and so many wonderful neighbors & friends too numerous to mention. Carl will live on in the memories and hearts of those who knew and loved him. His warm smile & welcoming personality will forever be missed.

Services for Carl will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 20th, at Britton Funeral Home.

Visitation for Carl will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, May 19th, at Britton Funeral Home.
