Young Arrested on Warrants, Methamphetamine Charge

MANCHESTER, Ky. — A Manchester man was taken into custody Tuesday after Clay County deputies discovered suspected methamphetamine while attempting to serve multiple arrest warrants.
According to Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson, Deputy Dustin Henson arrived at a residence on South Highway 421 on May 6, 2025, in an effort to serve an active warrant on Robert Young, 46, of Manchester.
Upon making contact, Deputy Henson confirmed that Young had multiple outstanding warrants. During a search conducted incident to arrest, Henson located a small clear plastic bag containing a crystal-like substance. Based on his training and experience, Henson believed the substance to be methamphetamine.
Young was arrested without incident and is facing the following charges:
- Failure to Appear (two counts)
- Probation Violation (for felony offense)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 3rd or Greater Offense (Methamphetamine)
Young was transported to the Clay County Detention Center. The investigation is ongoing.
