Texas Couple Admits to Forcibly Tattooing Young Children

April 21, 2025

LUFKIN, TX — A Texas couple has admitted to forcibly tattooing two young children, according to authorities in Angelina County.

On April 10, 29-year-old Megan Mae Farr pleaded guilty to injury to a child. Her husband, 25-year-old Gunner Farr, entered his guilty plea on March 20 to charges related to the same incident.

Gunner Farr was sentenced to two years’ confinement on a charge of unlawful restraint and five years each for two counts of injury to a child. His sentences will run concurrently. Megan Farr is expected to be sentenced in the coming weeks, with a court date set approximately 45 days from her plea.

The disturbing case began in 2023, when the biological father of Megan’s 5- and 9-year-old children noticed tattoos on their bodies and contacted authorities.

According to an arrest affidavit, the Farrs restrained the children, blindfolded and gagged them, and forcibly tattooed them. The affidavit also states the couple attempted to conceal the abuse by trying to remove the tattoos using lemon juice and abrasive scrubbing.

Both children have since been removed from the home and are receiving care.

The case has drawn significant attention and outrage across the community, with law enforcement officials emphasizing the importance of vigilance in reporting suspected child abuse.

The investigation was conducted by the Lufkin Police Department and Child Protective Services.
