Hello friends! I hope everyone is well. Today we will continue the six-part series of the Cs of tourism. Today is most people’s favorite which is cuisine. Who doesn’t love to dine in a new place and taste new culture?
Cuisine is a vital part of luxury travel, shaping the entire experience for travelers. As people look for more genuine and immersive adventures, food has taken center stage for those eager to dive into local cultures through their taste buds. This rising interest in culinary tourism shows a clear trend, with more travelers participating in activities like cooking classes, food tours, and food festivals. In fact, culinary tourism is projected to grow at an impressive compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 7.6% from 2024 to 2030, making it one of the biggest jumps in tourism travel.
The economic impact of culinary tourism is substantial, especially in areas celebrated for their food culture. For example, in the United States, the culinary tourism market was valued at around $2.7 billion in 2024 and is expected to climb to $3.2 billion by 2025, boasting an impressive CAGR of 19.2% from 2025 to 2030.
