Lucy Evelyn “Hopper” Osborne

Lucy Evelyn “Hopper” Osborne, born on May 24, 1928, in Clay County, Kentucky, was the beloved daughter of the late Fountain Fox Hopper and Elva “Bond” Hopper. She was united in marriage to Reid Osborne, who preceded her in death. Lucy departed this life on April 10, 2025, at the age of 96 years, 10 months, and 17 days.
She is survived by her seven children: Gail Krahenbuhl, Kaye Wilkerson and husband Gary, Danny Osborne and wife Brenda, Sherwin Osborne and wife Jeannie, Darrell Osborne and wife Cheryl, Lonnie Osborne and wife Sherry, and Randy Osborne. She also leaves behind her sister, Cleda Creech of Spencer, Indiana, fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild, plus a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing.
In addition to her parents and husband, Lucy was preceded in death by her seven siblings: JB Hopper, Walter Hopper, Tom Hopper, Seymour Hopper, Charlie Hopper, Gilbert Hopper, and Bob Hopper.
Lucy retired from Caron Spinning after 26 years of dedicated service and was a cherished member of Faith Assembly.
Her life will be celebrated with a funeral service conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Monday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rodney Goodlett and Jason Harris. Burial will follow in the Pittsburg Cemetery in Pittsburg, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
