Exciting Developments for Trail Town Revitalization

by By Tim Parks-Tourism Director

Hello, friends! I hope everyone is doing great and thriving. If not, I hope you’re at least surviving.

It has been a few years since we last had an active Trail Town board, and while the original board was strong—with impressive fundraising efforts and dedication—the members eventually stepped down due to burnout. Unfortunately, no one stepped in to carry the torch—until now.

On Monday, I had a fantastic meeting with the newly reestablished Trail Town board, formed by our mayor. I have full confidence in this new team and am thrilled to collaborate with them.

Our first project is already set in motion: a non-motorized hiking and biking trail spanning over a mile on Beech Creek. Not only do we have a solid plan in place, but we have also been awarded a $30,000 grant specifically for this project.

To say I’m excited about the future of outdoor adventure in our community would be an understatement! Stay tuned for more updates. Much love, Manchester!
