Gracie J. Holland

Gracie J. Holland, 88 of Manchester, Kentucky,  passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 20, 2025, at Landmark of Laurel Creek in Manchester, Kentucky. Born on March 31, 1936, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the union of the late Collum and Isabelle Kelley Jackson.   

Gracie was a beloved homemaker, she dedicated her life to her family and community. Gracie was known for her genuine love for others, and she touched the lives of many with her kindness.

Gracie enjoyed a variety of hobbies;  she found joy in shopping at Walmart, tending to her garden, and digging ginseng. She loved Bingo and brought her happy times spent with friends,  Throughout her life, Gracie took immense pride in keeping her car impeccably clean, a testament to her attention to detail.

Family gatherings and picnics were among  some of Gracies favorite times, as they exemplified her love for bringing loved ones and friends together. Gracie also had a deep appreciation for music and enjoyed singing.

Gracie is survived by her two sons, Clyde Jackson and his wife Patty of London, Kentucky, and Garry Jackson and his wife Reda of Goose Rock, Kentucky. She also leaves behind three daughters, Josephine Poling of Goose Rock, Kentucky, Patricia Barrett and her husband Bob of Greensburg, Kentucky, and Linda Wright and her husband Wilburn of Cincinnati, Ohio. Gracie is further survived by her brother Earl Jackson of Louisville, Kentucky, and her sister Judy Sizemore of London, Kentucky. Her legacy continues through her sixteen cherished grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom will remember her with love and affection.

Gracie was preceded in death by her parents, Collum Jackson and Isabelle Kelley Jackson, her beloved husband Lester Holland, and four children: Jerry Wayne Jackson, JR Jackson, JB Jackson, and Larry Jackson; her  brothers Johnny Jackson, Edward Jackson, and Roger Jackson, and her sisters Deloris Cornelius, Ruth Jackson, Opal Asher, and Nancy Faye Mason.  She was also preceded in death by her  granddaughter Amber Jackson and great-granddaughter Cheyenne Hundley.

The funeral service to commemorate the Gracie's life will be held at 1p.m. Sunday, March 23, 2025 in the chapel of Wolfe & Son Funeral Home with Paul Mitchell and Jamie Davis officiating.

Interment will follow the services at the Smith Cemetery with Cody Jackson, Phillip White, Jeremy Collins, Bobby Collett, Michael Mann, Wilburn Wright, Jacob Smith, and Hunter Collins. 

Friends and family may gather for visitation from 6p.m. until 9p.m. Saturday evening, March 22, 2025 at the funeral home chapel.
