Robinson found with meth, paraphernalia during traffic stop
March 17, 2025

Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson has reported that on March 17, 2025, Deputies Luke Thomas and Dewey Grubb observed a Dodge Charger traveling north on White Street in Manchester without a visible license plate. Deputy Thomas activated his emergency lights, prompting the vehicle to stop at a Speedway gas station. During a brief conversation with the driver, Deputy Grubb asked the passenger, Ronnie Robinson, for identification, which he was unable to provide. Robinson appeared to be under the influence of drugs, although the specific substance was unknown at that time.
Deputy Grubb checked Robinson’s name and discovered an active bench warrant for him. After removing Robinson from the vehicle, the deputies found a small baggie, a plastic container suspected to hold methamphetamine, along with two needles in his pockets and two more around the seat. As a result, Robinson was arrested and taken to the Clay County Detention Center.
Ronnie Robinson, 25, of Manchester, faces the following charges:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Drug Paraphernalia - Buy/Possess
- Public Intoxication - Controlled Substance (Excludes Alcohol)
- Probation Violation (for Misdemeanor Offense)
A healthy Clay County requires great community news.
