March 14, 2025

Clay County Sheriff Patrick Robinson reported that on March 12, 2025, Deputy Dewey Grubb observed a tan GMC Sierra speeding on Jack Branch Road. Deputy Grubb attempted to stop the vehicle, but the occupants continued at a high rate of speed. Eventually, the vehicle came to a stop. Through investigation, units discovered that the driver, James Flannery, had no insurance and a suspended driver's license due to a prior DUI. Flannery also had four active warrants for his arrest, which KSP Trooper D. Rose served.

Frances Rose, a passenger in the vehicle, attempted to flee from Deputy Grubb. Upon contact, Deputy Grubb found a crystal-like substance on her person.
