William McCreary

William McCreary, 89, of Greendale, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, September 21, 2023. He was born July 24, 1934 in Manchester, Kentucky, son of the late William and Dora (Smith) McCreary.

Bill was an Army Veteran. He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church in Bright, Indiana. He liked to fish. He loved spending time with his family at "family dinners". He worked as a Land Surveyor.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Dana Lynne McCreary of Greendale, IN, Lori (Darren) Koons of Aurora, IN; brother, James (Carol) McCreary of North Vernon, IN; sister, Margaret (Keith) Upchurch of Cross Plains, IN; 3 grandchildren, Cameron (Bridget) McCreary, Kyle Callahan, Sebastian Thies; and 2 great grandchildren, Alexi McCreary, Breckin McCreary.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Dora McCreary; his loving wife, Barbara McCreary; 3 brothers, Art McCreary, Leroy McCreary, Robert McCreary; and his sister, Wilma Carr.

Family and friends will be received on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 from 11 am to 1 pm at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at Fitch-Denney Funeral Home, Tuesday, September 26, 2023 at 1 pm, with Pastor Charlie Davis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Greendale Cemetery, Greendale, Indiana.
