Mickey Smith

Mickey Smith age 51 of Manchester was born in Clay County, KY on February 15, 1972 to the late Bill Smith and Laura Jean Sizemore Smith and departed this life on September 9, 2023 in the University of Louisville Jewish Hospital. He was of the Holiness Faith and enjoyed working outside, fishing, whittling, and time with family and friends.

In addition to his father, 2 brothers: Bill Smith, Jr. and Harlan Smith; and a sister: Mamie Marie Smith preceded him in death.

Mickey is survived by his loving wife: Marina Smith of Manchester; his mother: Laura Smith of Manchester; a daughter: Chelsey Crail and fiancé Steve of Covington; 3 sons: Jacob Tyler Sumpter of Monticello, KY, and Austin Smith and Bruce Smith both of Manchester; 2 sisters: Ella Mae Smith and husband Jimmy, and Jodie Leann Smith and husband Wesley all of Manchester; a brother-in law: Woodrow Wayne Smith of Manchester; a sister-in-law: Regina Crystal Smith of Manchester; 9 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services for Mr. Mickey Smith were conducted in the Free Spirit Holiness Church on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Travis Dezarn officiating. Burial followed in the Mickey Smith Cemetery with family and friends serving as Pallbearers. Barbourville Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements.
