Mary Sue Lewis Smith

Mary Sue Lewis Smith, of London, Kentucky, was born on December 25, 1943, in Clay County, Kentucky. She was the beloved daughter of the late Thomas Adam (T.A.) Lewis and Eula Smith Lewis. Mary was united in marriage to Cecil Smith, who preceded her in death. She departed this life on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, at the age of 81 years and 2 months.
Mary is survived by her four children: Doyle Smith and his wife Jennifer of Corbin, Kentucky; Brenda Royster and her husband Al; Cecil Wayne Smith and his wife Nina; and Sally Diehl and her husband Jerry, all of London, Kentucky; and a brother in law, Daryl Mastin of London. She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and a host of other family and friends who mourn her passing. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Sally Lewis Mastin.
Mary cherished her family and enjoyed keeping up with them and her friends on Facebook when she couldn't see them in person. She loved playing Farmville online and visiting Florida, where the beach and sun were her favorite things. She also loved to read and do puzzles in her free time. Mary will be deeply missed by all her family and friends.
The funeral service for Mary Sue Lewis Smith will be conducted at 1 pm on Friday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Donnie Oliver officiating. Entombment will follow in the Smith Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends beginning at 12 noon on Friday until the funeral hour of 1 pm at Bowling Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Cecil Wayne Smith, Thomas Smith, CJ Smith, Jerry Diehl, Chris Barnes, and Ray Smith.
