Volunteers of America Adds EKU Manchester’s Terry Gray to Board of Directors

Volunteers of America Mid-States (VOA) a regional affiliate of the national organization, Volunteers of America INC, serving Kentucky, West Virginia, Tennessee and Southern Indiana, is thrilled to announce that on Thursday, September 21, Eastern Kentucky University (EKU) Manchester’s Terry Gray joined its board of directors.

Terry has served as the Senior Director of Regional Programming and Regional Stewardship since 2003. In this role, he is responsible for overseeing a wide range of programs and initiatives that promote educational and economic development throughout the region, including EKU’s Corbin and Manchester Regional Campuses. Terry also serves on numerous community and regional advisory boards, leveraging his expertise and connections to support positive change. Terry’s dedication to the region earned him the 2023 President’s Excellence in Engagement Award, becoming the first off-campus employee to receive this honor. EKU also honored Terry with the inaugural Distinguished Service Award in 2021.
Terry has been instrumental in supporting the expansion of VOA’s recovery ecosystem in Southeast and Southcentral Kentucky that has resulted in nearly 70 jobs that have been created for the region and now more than $26M of investment with the recent addition of two new federal grants.
