57 inches of floodwater strikes Oneida Community Church

February 18, 2025

Oneida Community Church received 57 inches of floodwater in their basement over the weekend.
Pastor Todd Hicks recently appeared on Fox Weather and gave his account of the incident.
“It was complete devastation this time,” Hicks said.  “This flood was higher than the one in 2021.”
Hicks said the good Lord will help them sustain and make it through this.
“It’s a terrible time, but we are getting through this by the help of the Lord and the people in our community,” he said.
The church was not a total loss, he added.
“It just got in the basement, we lost kitchen cabinets, coolers, refrigerators,” he said.  “But we can replace that.”
The heat and air units were also impacted but aren’t expected to be a loss.
Hicks said they’re planning to have church services on Sunday.
