Tigers travel to Jackson Friday, OBI Saturday

Jackson County – The Generals (10-15) had no answers for the Tigers in Manchester as Clay County stormed to an easy 78-37 victory. The Tigers should handle their business on the road in a boy/girl doubleheader, and they will look to complete the regular season sweep of Jackson County. Tip is set for 7:30 PM, Friday, February 14th, at Jackson County High School.
Oneida Baptist – The Mountaineers will host the Tigers in an early Saturday afternoon matchup in Oneida. The Mountaineers, led by freshman duo Jacob Rogers and Skylar Roberts, have a bright future ahead of themselves. Clay County previously defeated OBI handily at home, but this makes a good road game for the Tigers. The tip is set for 3:00 PM, Saturday, February 15th, at Oneida Baptist.
Corbin – All eyes in the 13th region will be laser-locked on this matchup. Fresh with new transfers, Corbin (15-9) is now in the region champion discussion. However, they did suffer a brutal 29-point loss to current region favorite Bell County on Log Mountain. Coach Tony Pietrowski now has four scorers to rely on: Evan Ellis (26.0ppg), Ryder Akins (18.4ppg), Connor Middleton (12.1ppg), and Eli Pietrowski (11.2ppg). This looks to be a high-scoring affair, so bring your popcorn. Tip is set for 7:30 PM, Monday, February 17th, at Corbin High School.
Red Bird—The Red Bird Cardinals (0-20) come to Manchester without a win on their resume. Expect the Tigers to handle their business in this one so they can prepare for the district tournament. This game will be senior night, and the ceremony will begin before the boys' game at 5:30 p.m. The tip is set for 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 18th, at Clay County High School.
