Everyone has a voice, but sometimes they need to be quiet

Hello friends! I hope everyone is doing well and things are going great for you. Like the rest of you, I’m guilty that I can’t help but watch the live streams of London City Council meetings.
As someone who has attended hundreds of council meetings throughout the state in the past few years, I believe what’s going on in London is truly remarkable.
Often, an angry mob will come in and scream and make threats at the mayor and council one meeting; then it goes away. But in this case, it’s getting worse. I pray that this never happens in our town or County.
Another thing that I’ve always said is some people don’t need to speak. We all know that person. They destroy a good meeting every time they start talking. I’m sorry, but sometimes it’s best to be quiet unless asked to speak.
Sometimes, folks don’t have the content or product knowledge, but they must ramble on anyway.
We are bad at letting them by with this behavior, which costs us a lot of time. I know this relates to nontourism, but it’s my opinion article, and I’m just stating my opinion.
Lord knows I’ve spoken up and pissed people off more than once, and I will again, I’m sure.
The difference is I don’t attend meetings with no prior knowledge of the subject. Do your homework, be educated, or please be quiet. See y'all in town soon. Much Love Manchester!!
A healthy Clay County requires great community news.
