Judy was born in Oneida, KY, on February 8th, 1949, a daughter of the late Gillis and Anna Lee Bowling.
Judy believed that everyone deserved kindness and compassion and made sure if you were in her presence you felt it. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and a beautiful soul who would help anyone. She had a smile and laugh that would light up a room. To know her was to love her.
Judy was a graduate of Oneida Baptist Institute and furthered her education at Union College where she studied to be a Radiology Technician. She enjoyed working with the public for over 30 years where she was a dedicated employee of the Parkway Medical Clinic, and 13 years for the City of Manchester. Aside from her lifelong careers, Judy enjoyed traveling with her children and grandchildren, stopping at every yard sale and thrift store she could. No hobby she had was above the enjoyment she had when she spent time on Nolan Lane with her family. She truly lived her life to the fullest.
Judy is survived by her husband, Johnny, whom she was married to 58 years. They shared two children, Valarie and husband Barry Bishop and Jason and wife Mitzi Nolan, both of Manchester. She beamed with pride over her grandchildren who lovingly referred to her as "Gran Gran", Jonathan and Wife Catherine Reed, TeRae and husband Andrew Baker, Brittany Nolan, Bradley Bishop, Makiah Roberts, Makenlie Roberts, Shawn Bishop, Kailee and husband Andrew Wooton, Megan and husband Nicholas Collins, Jalon Nolan, and Tatum Nolan. Judy was also blessed with 4 great grandchildren, Kyree Swafford, Nolan Reed, Brooks Baker, and Isla Wooton. As well as four sisters, June Byers, Joy Thompson, Jacqueline Jackson, and Janet Jones.
