Oscar Hoskins

Oscar Hoskins, age 74, of Manchester, Kentucky departed this life at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center on December 2, 2024.

Oscar was superintendent of all outside projects at Shamrock Coal Company and co-owner of Hoskins and Hoskins Trucking, Inc. He was a member of the Big Creek Holiness Church where he gave his heart to the Lord on March 2023.

Oscar leaves behind to mourn his passing his wife of 55 years Ruth Hoskins, his son, Hutch Hoskins and Christina, his daughter Angel Mobley, Steve, and their children Carter (Laura) and Callie ,and his special boy, Corbin Lewis, whom he loved as his own. Also he leaves behind two brothers Ralph Hoskins and Vernon Hoskins and two sisters Faye Napier and Betty Sue Bailey and a host of nieces and nephews and his special great nephew Price Randall "Bud" Hoskins.

Oscar is preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Logan Hoskins, two brothers Ernie Hoskins and Price Hoskins and two sisters Mary Rose Hoskins and Juanita "Blackie" Gray.

The family would like to give special thanks to Dr Samuel Bailey, Hazard ARH, and the staff at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Center for excellent care. Also special thanks to the ladies at Quickie Market. Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday, December 5th at Britton Funeral Home, with Robert Napier officiating. Burial will follow at the Hoskins Cemetery in Big Creek.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM on Wednesday, December 4th at Britton Funeral Home.
