Show Your Colors Manchester!
‘Show Your Colors’ the annual fall decorating contest presented by the City of Manchester and Clay County Fiscal Court is now underway.
Participants must pre-register with decorating starting on October 1. Photo entries turned in on or before October 27th at 8 a.m., according to event coordinator Danielle Collins.
A trophy will be presented to the winner on October 31st!
“This contest is open to all individuals, businesses, organizations and clubs within city limits,” Collins said. “All decorations must be identified by the name of the participants entering the decorations, which can be temporary, so the decorations can be properly identified with the correct registration information so we can give proper credit and acknowledgement.”
The rules are:
-The decorations must not block main sidewalk especially handicap access.
-Designs must be secure where they are not loose/blowing around in the street.
-Decorations may be made of any material of your choice.
-All decorations must be absent of adult, political or gory themes.
-All decorations must be in good taste and appropriate for public viewing. Keep it Family Friendly. You can use this opportunity to advertise your business, club or organization.
-Any decorations deemed inappropriate or in bad taste will not be allowed to participate.
-Clay County Fiscal Court and the City of Manchester reserves the right for the final decision regarding appropriateness.
All decorations must be removed no later than November 28th.
