Wheel comes off causing two-vehicle crash on parkway

Assistant City Police Chief Antonio Dodson says a wheel came off a Nissan traveling east causing it to veer into oncoming traffic.
The accident occurred around 7:10 a.m. Wednesday morning just outside the Manchester exit on the Hal Rogers Parkway.
When Dodson arrived he pulled the door of the Nissan open to render aid to the elderly woman in the Nissan.
"This accident could have been a lot worse than it was," he said.
The condition of the patients was unknown at the scene as they were transported to AdventHealth for treatment.
