Roy Gene Hoskins

Roy Gene Hoskins, son of the late Emmanuel and Bertie (Marcum) Hoskins, was born March 2nd, 1964, in Hyden, Kentucky.
He is survived by his children; Stephanie Hall and husband Ezekiel of East Bernstadt, Kentucky, Johnathan Hoskins of Clay County, Kentucky, and Zachary Hoskins of London, Kentucky, and by his siblings; Harrison Hoskins of Keavy, Kentucky, Etta Lisby of London, Kentucky, Emmanuel Hoskins Jr., and Doshia Short, both of Clay County, Kentucky, and David Hoskins and wife Lorena of Chattanooga, Tennessee.
He was also blessed with ten grandchildren; Madison Hoskins, Gabriel Gibson, Keaton Hentz, Ally Hoskins, Makayla Hoskins, Lexie Hentz, Jackson Hoskins, McKenzie Hoskins, Colton Hoskins, and Easton Hall.
He was a truck driver and construction worker, and was of the Holiness faith. Besides his parents, he is also preceded in death by his sister Bonnie Lou Shane.
Roy Gene Hoskins departed this life on Thursday, November 7th, 2024, being 60 years, 8 months, and 5 days of age.
Funeral services for Roy Gene Hoskins were conducted Sunday, November 10th, 2024, at Brown Mission Church with Henry Lloyd Deaton officiating. Burial followed at Ely Cemetery in Clay County.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Ezekiel Hall, Johnathan Hoskins, Zachary Hoskins, Bradley Hoskins, Brandon Hoskins, John Short, Donald Short, and Richard Short.
