Baking Care of Business

I’m a wanna-be baker. Well, I do bake; I just wanna be good at it. I envy the pie bakers with the pretty carved-out crust that is just immaculate to the eye. Fall, to me, brings out bakers everywhere. We get comfy in our homes and start to make magic. I love hot apple pie with some vanilla ice cream. I have a fantastic recipe for a fresh apple cake because I’m pretty good at cakes. It’s pies with crust that I need to master. I’m not good with dough, you see. Maybe I haven’t tried nearly enough to know. I know some of our county's ladies are amazing pie bakers. I should join a class or something! If there is one, could somebody inform me, please? How about you, do you like to bake? Do you have a recipe that you’re famous for? Do you bake to relax? I can smell it now… fresh from the oven with a just right flaky crust… It’s fall, y’all, and baking is just a given. Breads and cookies and pies, oh my!
