OBI homecoming set for Saturday

The annual Oneida Baptist Institute Homecoming will be held on Saturday!

Registration will begin at 9 a.m. at Oneida Baptist Church or Underwood Hall. Then, there will be a Hymn Sing at the church at 11 a.m., followed by lunch from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. 

The Alumni Recognition Ceremony will begin at 1 p.m. at Underwood Hall with recognition of the 50thAnniversary Class, the Fifth Anniversary Class, and the Athletic Hall of Fame Induction.

A Celebration of OBI’s 125th year will feature James A. Burns delivering a lecture at the Burns Memorial, located on the lawn of the Sylvia Russell Chapel Building. The OBI boys’ varsity basketball team will practice at 3 p.m., and former players are welcome to join.

Supper will follow at 4:30 p.m. at Underwood Hall.

There will also be tours of the newly renovated campus buildings and athletic facilities.
