Bobbie Messer, 86 of Brightshade, Kentucky deceased peacefully on Wednesday, August 21, 2024. She was born on May 17, 1938 in Brightshade, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Chester Jack Mills and Eva Smith Mills. She was a former cook at Goose Rock Elementary School.
Bobbie is survived by her beloved daughters, Norma Jean Messer and Patricia Ann Messer, all of Manchester, Kentucky. She is survived by one sister, Donna Marie Mills Jackson of Annville, Kentucky.
Bobbie is survived by her brothers-in-law Clarence Langdon, Morrow, Ohio, Flem Messer, Danville, Kentucky, Charles Parks, Manchester, Kentucky, Eugene Trobaugh, London, Kentucky; sisters-in-law Vernice (Vernie) Grubb Messer, Manchester, Kentucky, Betty Sue Messer Smith Parks, Manchester, Kentucky and Quada Joyce Messer Jackson Trobaugh, London, Kentucky.
Bobbie is survived by the following nephews and nieces, Ronnie Jackson and wife, Toni Rose, Larry Jackson and wife Paula Lynn, Gary Lynn Langdon and wife Rhadene, and Lisa Michelle Langdon Riley and husband Barry.
She is survived by the following great nieces and great nephews Austin Ray Langdon, Mollie Lynn Langdon Ficker and husband Tyler, Drake Addison Riley and wife Hannah; Ronald Brandon Jackson and wife, Michelle; Emily Rose Jackson Gilliam Shepherd and husband, Justin, Amanda Renee Peters and husband James; Jamie Jackson and wife Brittany, Jeremy Jackson and wife Hope, Cory Dakin.
She is survived by 5 great nephews and 6 great nieces.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Chester Jack and Eva Mills; her husband: Otto; her brothers and sisters: Woodson Mills, Lindsey Mills, Chester Jack Mills, Jr., Carl Mills, Thelma Mills Langdon and brother-in-law: Ora Jackson.
Funeral Services for Bobbie Jean Messer will be conducted on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 at 2 PM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Charles Kearnes, Rev. Robert Amundsen, Rev. Herman Asher will be presiding. She will be laid to rest in the Woodson Mills Cemetery in the Brightshade Community.
The family will receive friends and loved ones on Tuesday after 11 AM at the Rominger Funeral Home Chapel.
