Lucy Lee (Bird) Allen

Lucy Lee (Bird) Allen, 82, of Manchester, KY, passed away Thursday, September 7th, at her home.

Bird was born in Manchester, KY, on May 28th, 1941, a daughter of the late George and Martha Harris Allen.

Bird is survived by her son, Carl Allen Jr. (Brittany) of Manchester; the following brothers and sisters: Ada May Henson, Mike Cottongim (Ruby), and Kenneth Allen (Carol); and the following grandchildren: Austin Allen, Amber Allen, Jase Allen, Carly Allen, and Bentley Allen; she also leaves behind a host of 15 nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Bird is preceded in death by the following brothers and sisters: David Allen, Letha Bush, Mason Allen, Gleason, and Mary Allen.

Services for Bird will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, September 13th, at Britton Funeral Home, with Ronnie Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the Paces Creek Cemetery.

Visitation for Bird will be held at 12:00 PM on Wednesday, September 13th, at Britton Funeral Home.
