Heat Indices Will Reach 100 Degrees in Many Places Across Eastern Kentucky This Afternoon

Hot temperatures - from 90 to 95 degrees - will combine with high humidity to yield heat indices around 100 degrees for many places across the area this afternoon.

Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left unattended in vehicles under any circumstances.
