Smith flips car, attempts to leave scene

Laurel Sheriff's Deputy Bobby Roberts arrested Elisha Smith, age 32, of Gray, KY, early Sunday morning, June 3, 2024, at approximately 2:13 AM. The arrest occurred on American Greeting Card Road, approximately 8 miles South after London dispatched Deputy Roberts–Laurel County 911 Communications Ctr. to a traffic crash with injuries. In addition, dispatch advised that the vehicle's driver had exited the car and was walking away from the crash site. Upon arrival in the vicinity of the crash, Deputy Roberts located the driver and conducted an investigation, determining that this individual was under the influence. Elisha Smith was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence – first offense, leaving the scene of an accident. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
