Charles Marcum Jr.

Charles Marcum Jr. was born April 30, 1951 in Clay County, Kentucky. He was the son of the late Elmer Marcum and Sally Marcum. He was united in marriage to Patty Lou Johnson Marcum who preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Marcum (Christopher Sizemore) of London; four siblings, Emmalee Cunagin (Jeff), Vanda Sizemore (Freddie), Bea Allen, Ruby Caudill all of London; three grandchildren, MaKayla Clark, Breanna Warren, Tyler Riley; five great-grandchildren, Kinsley Clark, Weston Clark, Adalee Warren, Colson Riley, and Brilynn Riley; plus a host of other family and friends to mourn his passing.

In addition to his parents and wife he is also preceded in death by two children, William Charles “Chucky” Marcum and Vivian Gail Sizemore; three siblings, Bonnie Rush, Jewell Brooks, and Benny Ray Marcum.

He was a mechanic at an auto body shop, and affiliated with Merrimac Missionary Baptist Church.

Charles Marcum Jr. departed this life Tuesday, September 5, 2023 being 72 years, 4 months and 6 days of age.

The funeral service for Charles Marcum Jr. will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Friday in the Bowling Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Lawson and Myles Ray Cope officiating. Burial will follow in Merrimac Cemetery in London, Kentucky.

The family of Charles Marcum Jr. will receive friends at Bowling Funeral Home Friday beginning at 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour of 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request memorial donations be made to Bowling Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
