Edward Brock

Mr. Edward Brock age 64 of East Laurel Road in London, passed away on Thursday morning at his residence. He is survived by his longtime companion Vickie Keith Roberts of London, Kentucky, he was the father of:  Mark Brock of London, Kentucky and “GEE” Brock of Lexington, Kentucky, the brother of Virgil Brock Jr. of Lady Lake, Florida, Lillie Ingram of London, Kentucky, Lela Brock of Richmond, Indiana, Geneva Ivey of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Doris Arnold of Lexington, Kentucky. Funeral services for Mr. Edward Brock will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, July 1 in the chapel of London Funeral Home in London, KY with Rev. David Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in the Providence Cemetery in the Bush community. Friends of Mr. Edward Brock may call from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 1 at the London Funeral Home. David Thomas Spurlock

David Thomas Spurlock, 49, of Oneida, passed away Saturday at the Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital at Somerset.
Funeral services for David Thomas Spurlock were held Tuesday at 1:00 PM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Robert Hacker and Sill Lee officiating.
Burial followed at the Spurlock Cemetery at the Laurel Branch community.
Visitation was Monday evening at the Britton Funeral Home.

In Memory of Hazel Burns

The family of Hazel Burns would like to acknowledge the expressions of love shown to our family during the death of our mother.
Thanks to Laurel Creek Health Care Center and all the staff for the wonderful care our mother got while she was there. Also to Dr. Mahboob and Karen Cheek for their services.
We want to thank all who brought food to the house, those who sent flowers and gifts, those who donated Gideon Bibles and made donations to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Thanks to the flower shops, Britton Funeral Home, Bro. Ken Bolin and Bro. Charles Woods, and to Kathy Smith and Dwight Davidson for the beautiful song.
We want to give a big thank you to the Ladies of Manchester Baptist Church for the delicious meal they prepared for us after the funeral.

Bessie Mae Melton

Bessie Mae Melton, 87, of Crane Creek, passed away Tuesday at the Manchester Memorial Hospital.
She is survived by these children: Stanley Melton and wife Cinda, Marvin Gary Melton, Pamela Lunsford and husband Hugh Jr., and Connie Melton, all of Manchester, Patricia Davidson of London, Peggy Webb of Wake Forrest, North Carolina and Georgia Cathey and husband Keith of Louisville, KY.
She is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and her brother, Orville Collins of Manchester.
She is preceded in death by her husband George Melton, son Mitchell Ray Melton and grand daughter Janna Webb, also 2 sisters and 5 brothers.
Funeral services for Bessie Mae Melton will be held Friday at 11:00 AM at the Britton Funeral Home Chapel with Henry Lloyd Deaton and Sill Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the Collins Cemetery at Laurel Creek.
Visitation will be after 6:00 PM Thursday at the Britton Funeral Home.

In Memory of Thelma Smith

We the family of Thelma Smith would like to extend our appreciation and thanks for all the flowers and other items, food, prayers, thoughts, and kind words given during our time of sorrow. Thank you to the preachers, Sill Lee, Troy Hubbard, Mark Bowling, and Bob Estep. Thank you to all the wonderful singers, Britton’s Funeral Home for the arrangements, all the friends and family that were there for the visitation and funeral. Thank you to all the pallbearers. Thank you to the staff at Clay County Home Health, staff at Memorial Hospital and Laurel Creek Nursing Home for taking such good care of her during all these years. She loved all of you. And a very special thanks to our mother’s long time friend Janet Jordan whom she loved dearly. Our loved one will be missed greatly, but our heats and minds are at ease know she is in Heaven rejoicing now.
